Messianic Rabbi Mark Shulman

A baby boomer, born in England in 1955, Rabbi Mark grew up in places from Rochester NY to Burlington Vermont where he lived 20 years, during his high school and college years (University of Vermont).  In those years his upbringing was in a close knit observant Conservative Jewish family.  Rabbi Mark has also lived in Florida, Georgia until moving to Bethlehem Pennsylvania where he has resided since 1994 with his wife Ranjiena and 3 children, Ariel, Ian and Tyler.

In addition to serving as the Senior Rabbi with Beth El Gibor, Mark also serves as the associate Rabbi at Beit Simcha, House of Joy, located in Allentown Pennsylvania.  Rabbi Mark has been a believer in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) for over 12 years and has been involved in the Messianic movement for over 10 years.  Having been raised in a traditional Jewish home, the Lord put a calling on his life to not only be drawn to his Jewish Heritage but to lift it up and live it by, and share it with others Jew and Gentile by the grace of ha-Shem.  Knowing Messiah Yeshua and celebrating Him as the way, the truth and the life in the context of our shared Jewish heritage and calling is at the heart of his vision for Beth El Gibor and celebrating Jewish life.

Rabbi Mark's smi'cha (ordination) is through the IAMCS (International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues).  In addition Rabbi Mark established Shulman Family Ministries in 2004, a non profit ministry that focuses it energy of sharing the Good News to the Jew first and also the Gentile (Romans 1:16).  This has taken the form of sharing Jewish roots of the faith with churches, prison ministry, chaplaincy in hospitals, outreaches to nursing homes, homeless shelters and offering financial assistance to those in need.  Rabbi Shulman is the North East Regional Chairman for the MJAA's (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America) regional conference going on three years.
